Independent investigations and reviews into Guernsey's health services have incurred costs of almost £188,000 over the past five years. Between 2021 and 2025, the Health & Social Care (HSC) committee commissioned or had commissioned on its behalf 20 such reviews.
George Oswald, President of Guernsey's Health & Social Care, confirmed these figures in response to a question from Deputy Gavin St Pier. The investigations examined various departments, including pathology, maternity, and ophthalmology. The total expenditure for these 20 reviews amounted to £187,479.
