BBC Radio 1 DJ Greg James has offered a glimpse into the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, describing the event as an unforgettable experience among a high-profile guest list.

James, who received his invitation in mid-March, shared his experience on his Breakfast Show after attending the nuptials on a Friday night at Madison Square Garden. He noted the challenge of keeping the event a secret for months, confiding only in his wife, Bella Mackie, and fellow guest Graham Norton.

James described a clandestine pre-wedding meeting with Norton, likening it to a scene from the television show "The Traitors." The two discussed the upcoming event at Norton's home, with James admitting they were unsure about the exact location until closer to the date. He also mentioned that all wedding communications were electronic, dispelling rumors of watermarked invitations.

Upon arrival, James recalled mingling with other British guests, including Hugh Grant and his wife. He described the atmosphere as surreal, comparing it to interacting with animated wax figures at Madame Tussauds, and noted the presence of numerous famous individuals, including NFL players.

Addressing concerns about resources, James confirmed there was no shortage of food or drinks, stating, "This was the first 10,000 drinks." He elaborated on receiving his invitation electronically in the middle of the night while staying in a Weymouth hotel the night before commencing a 1,000km Comic Relief cycle challenge. He admitted to initially being suspicious of the digital invitation, questioning if it might be a scam until he was actually inside the venue.

Swift had personally invited James to the wedding live on his radio show in October. He revealed he took annual leave from his BBC show and initially misled organizers of a podcast festival by claiming he was attending a live recording in Sheffield, when in reality, he had flown to the United States for the wedding.

James concluded by sharing his post-wedding state on Instagram Stories, joking about experiencing a significant hangover after what he described as an "unbelievably brilliant night."
