BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show host Greg James has confirmed his attendance at the wedding of pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce. James revealed he was experiencing a severe hangover following the event, indicating a lively celebration. He had received a personal and public invitation from Swift during an interview in October 2025.
Taking to his Instagram Stories, James shared a photo of pizza and described his condition, stating, 'I am currently experiencing the world's greatest hangover and unable to reply to the hilarious number of messages I have received over the last 24hrs.' He added, 'But just to say: true to her word, of course the invitation arrived and I couldn't tell anyone. And oh my God, what an unbelievably brilliant night. I'm off for a nap.'
James also posted a photograph of himself and his wife, Bella Mackie, dressed for the occasion. He wore a black suit, while Mackie was in a red midi dress.
The invitation originated from a light-hearted BBC Radio 1 interview where Swift, James, and Kelce discussed Swift's album, her engagement, and their friendship. James's expressed interest in meeting Kelce led Swift to jokingly assure him he would have the opportunity at her wedding, confirming his invitation.
Swift and Kelce married on Friday in New York City in a ceremony attended by approximately 1,000 guests. The couple announced their marriage through video advertisements displayed in iconic music venues, featuring the message 'JUST MARRIED!', a nod to their shared initials.
Notable attendees included celebrities such as Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Lena Dunham, Dakota Johnson, Steven Spielberg, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Brad Pitt, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Hugh Grant, Graham Norton, Jessica Alba, Tom Brady, Chris Rock, and numerous NFL players. Other guests included Zoe Kravitz, Ethan Hawke, Nelly, Andrew Scott, Ice Spice, Kareem Hunt, and Laura Dern.
Eagle-eyed fans noted the presence of Karlie Kloss and her husband Joshua Kushner, with Kloss's attendance suggesting a potential reconciliation between her and Swift, following a rumored feud that led to Swift not attending Kloss's 2019 wedding. However, Blake Lively, a longtime friend of Swift's, was reportedly not present, amid speculation of a falling out related to Lively's legal disputes.
