Grandmother of 12 Sets New World Record Holding Plank for Over 5 Hours
DonnaJean Wilde shattered her previous record at the Huntsman World Senior Games, holding an abdominal plank for an astonishing five hours.

DonnaJean Wilde, a grandmother of 12, has established a new Guinness World Record by holding an abdominal plank for five hours, 1 minute, and 1 second. The record-breaking feat took place at the Huntsman World Senior Games in St. George, Utah.
Wilde's new record surpasses her previous accomplishment by nearly 30 minutes. She originally set a record in 2021 by holding a plank for 4 hours and 20 seconds, and then broke that record again in 2023 with a time of 4 hours, 30 minutes, and 11 seconds. This latest achievement marks her third world record in the abdominal plank category.
The 60-year-old athlete attributed her success to consistent training and a strong support system. She trains for approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes each day, incorporating planks, squats, and lunges into her routine. Wilde's husband and children were present to encourage her during the record attempt.
