Graffiti Artist Admits Vandalism Featuring Celebrity-Inspired Messages

Police have arrested a man who admitted to creating graffiti featuring celebrity-inspired messages in the West Denton area of Newcastle. The vandalism, which appeared in neat handwriting on an underpass, targeted several well-known figures including actors Danny Dyer and Ross Kemp, TV presenter Anneka Rice, and Jade Thirlwall from the band Little Mix.

Among the messages scrawled were "Ross Kemp dabs Zoflora behind his ears" and "Danny Dyer smokes Parma Violet Vapes." Another stated, "Anneka Rice builds forts with the cushions in B&M." Further inscriptions claimed that Stacey Solomon gives her partner Joe a sticker for helping with chores, while Jade Thirlwall buys her makeup from Poundland.

The messages also included claims about Rochelle Humes allowing her husband to use an iPad if he finished his vegetables, and that presenter Dermot O'Leary "makes a jigsaw with his sandwiches." Some of the graffiti was reportedly of a sexual nature.

Newcastle City Council has since removed the graffiti. A spokesperson for Northumbria Police confirmed the arrest of a 33-year-old man on suspicion of criminal damage. The man has admitted to the vandalism and has been referred for an out-of-court disposal. The police stated that such anti-social behavior is unacceptable and that they will continue to take action when it is reported.
