Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay's rare Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta was towed away earlier this week after suffering a tyre puncture while driving in Cornwall. The incident occurred on Tuesday night as Ramsay was reportedly cruising near Porth, an area where he owns property.
Ramsay, a collector of supercars, was driving his pearl white Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta when the tyre problem developed. An eyewitness reported seeing Ramsay exit the vehicle after it pulled over, and it was subsequently collected by a recovery truck around 8:30 p.m.
It is suspected that the tyre may have been damaged by one of Cornwall's notorious potholes. Residents have noted the challenging nature of the narrow Cornish roads for high-end vehicles.
The Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta is a rare model, with only 210 manufactured worldwide. Ramsay was among the initial purchasers when the car went on sale in 2016 for approximately £1.6 million. The vehicle is equipped with a 6.3-litre V12 engine combined with an electric motor, producing 950bhp, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in under three seconds and reach speeds exceeding 215 mph.
This incident follows a recent sighting of the same Ferrari in Monaco last month. Ramsay is known to possess an extensive car collection, reportedly including 94 luxury vehicles, and owns several properties in Cornwall.
