A former intern and contractor for Georgia Republican Senate candidate Mike Collins has come under scrutiny following the resurfacing of disturbing social media posts. Preston Parra, who has described himself as a "twink fascist," interned for Collins in Congress from August to October 2024 and later worked as a paid contractor for Collins's leadership PAC, Overhaul PAC.

Images of a swastika and a photograph appearing to show Parra in Ku Klux Klan robes were posted on X in June and July, according to reporting by The Washington Post. The posts also contained racial slurs, references to "White Power," and Nazi-related material. Parra told the Post that much of the content was intended as satire and denied being a white supremacist, stating that such beliefs go against his religion and that his father is Colombian. However, he also reportedly stated that "the white race contributes more to the world."

Parra's political background includes affiliations with prominent Republican circles. Overhaul PAC paid his consulting firm $7,700 in May 2025. He has claimed to have served as a Trump campaign surrogate during the 2024 election cycle and stated he worked for eight months as political director for Representative Brian Jack. He was also affiliated with Turning Point USA for at least five years, holding campus leadership positions before working as a TPUSA media personality.

In January, the Daily Mail reported on Parra's history of posting antisemitic, racist, and sexually provocative content online, including crotch-shot selfies and posts identifying himself as "racist."

Collins' campaign issued a swift condemnation of Parra's posts. "Preston Parra has no affiliation with Mike Collins' office or campaign," spokesman Meyer Siegfried told the Daily Mail. "The posts are vile, completely unhinged, and Mike Collins unequivocally condemns them."

Parra is not the first individual connected to Collins to face public scrutiny. David Alan Scheer II, Collins' son-in-law and a fitness influencer, has been accused of sharing antisemitic conspiracy theories, white-nationalist material, and Nazi imagery online. Scheer is registered to vote at a property owned by Collins and has appeared in campaign photographs. Collins has stated that Scheer plays no role in his campaign and that he does not share his views.

Additionally, former chief of staff Kip Talley was reportedly replaced after joining a group chat with white supremacists Nick Fuentes and Richard Spencer and discussing assistance for Holocaust denier Charles Johnson. Talley stated he acted in a personal capacity and that Collins did not direct him.

Former digital director William Paul, son of Senator Rand Paul, allegedly hurled antisemitic insults at Rep. Mike Lawler in May.

Collins himself has faced criticism for his own social media activity. He shared a video of a white counterprotester making gestures at a Black pro-Palestinian protester, later calling it inappropriate but not the video's "focal point." He also responded to an account that appeared to mock a Washington Post reporter's Jewish identity, stating he was criticizing her views, not her background.

An InsiderAdvantage poll conducted from August 16-17 showed Ossoff leading Collins 50-43, with 7 percent undecided.
