Chauncey Golston has emerged as a significant contributor on the New York Giants' defensive line, earning first-team reps in training camp. Golston, originally signed as an edge rusher, has found a new role on the interior line alongside D.J. Reader and Shelby Harris, according to observations from Tuesday's practice.

Elsewhere on the roster, cornerback Paulson Adebo is making a strong case for a starting position, demonstrating tight coverage against Jameis Winston and nearly securing an interception. He is competing with Greg Newsome II and Deonte Banks for a spot in the three-man first-team rotation.

In contrast, projected starting defensive tackle Darius Alexander has seen his role diminish, now taking snaps with the second and third teams. Meanwhile, the starting offense struggled in a red-zone drill, failing to score from the 17-yard line, capped by an incomplete pass on fourth down.

The injury report noted that cornerback Colton Hood did not participate in practice after an incident on Monday. Wide receiver Jalin Hyatt and defensive lineman Josh Tupou were also sidelined with trainers, Hyatt nursing an ankle injury.
