A GoFundMe established for the parents of Lindsay Clancy has raised more than $800,000 towards its $2 million goal, according to the campaign page updated Monday. The funds are intended to assist Michael and Paula Musgrove in rebuilding their financial stability as they continue to support their daughter through her murder trial.

Paula and Mike Musgrove, retired, have relocated from Connecticut to Massachusetts, where Clancy is currently held in a mental health facility. The GoFundMe details that they have "remained by her side" throughout the legal proceedings over the past two-and-a-half years, since Clancy was accused of strangling her three young children and causing her own paralysis in a suicide attempt.

The campaign states the parents have "blown through their life savings" to cover the expenses of attending court appearances, travel, lodging, and living costs. "They have spent years absorbing the travel, lodging, and living costs required to remain close to their daughter, drawing down savings they spent a lifetime building," the GoFundMe reads. "They have not walked away from their daughter, and they have never been unclear about why: they love her."

Contributions to the fund are designated to cover "accumulated costs of travel, lodging, living expenses, and other family expenses arising from their continued support of Lindsay throughout her case."
