Will Reeve, an ABC News correspondent and son of the late actors Christopher and Dana Reeve, has publicly shared his diagnosis with testicular cancer. The 34-year-old journalist spoke about his health journey on "Good Morning America," detailing the discovery of a lump in April, approximately three months after his wedding to Amanda Dubin Reeve.

Reeve underwent an orchiectomy in May to remove his left testicle, after which he was diagnosed with embryonal carcinoma, an aggressive form of testicular cancer. This was followed by a six-hour surgery on June 10 to remove numerous lymph nodes from his abdomen. To further reduce the risk of recurrence, Reeve completed two rounds of chemotherapy.

He took approximately two and a half weeks off from his work at "Good Morning America" for recovery. Reeve expressed gratitude for his wife's support, stating that their "love deepened, our bond strengthened, and our sense of humor intact."

Reeve shared that he received "clean scans" on September 8 and is currently cancer-free. He also mentioned undergoing sperm banking as he and his wife plan to start a family.

Inspired by his parents' approach to adversity, Reeve stated his intention to speak openly about his experience to help others. "Watching my parents up close take the adversity they faced in their lives and repurpose it into something hopeful left a major impact on my life and how I try to live it," he told People magazine. "I have felt so loved and supported and rooted for by family, friends and strangers alike for my entire life... And that’s a big part of why I wanted to speak about this. I’m going to be fine. But this was a heck of a chapter."
