Global Network of Far-Left Groups Amplifies French Riots, Investigation Finds
A network of 54 organizations, including communist and socialist groups, labor unions, and activists, are reportedly involved in amplifying recent unrest in France.

A Fox News Digital investigation has identified a network of 54 organizations, ranging from communist youth groups and labor unions to environmental activists and global solidarity groups, that have been involved in amplifying recent student protests and riots in France. This network, described as a transnational array of communist and socialist organizations, spans continents and includes groups that have leveraged grievances over school conditions into a broader political struggle against capitalism and austerity.
Among the identified organizations are Gilets jaunes (Yellow Vests), a radical far-left group, and La France Insoumise (LFI), a socialist political party. The investigation highlights that only about one-third of the 54 organizations are student or youth groups, with the remainder being adult-led communist and socialist entities, advocacy groups, and international media outlets.
Communist and socialist youth organizations from 12 European countries are reportedly coordinating a strike under the slogan “Fight for Our Future, Not Their Wars!” This international coalition includes groups within the network funded by Neville Roy Singham, an American-born Marxist tech tycoon living in Shanghai. Organizations such as Tricontinental Ltd., CodePink, and BreakThrough News have been identified as amplifiers of the unrest, sharing coverage of the events in France with headlines like “ANTI-MACRON PROTESTS ROCK FRANCE.”
Jodie Evans, co-founder of CodePink and wife of Singham, has promoted a campaign in Washington opposing U.S. military spending, explicitly referencing youth demonstrations in France, Spain, and India as examples for Americans to follow.
The investigation details a breakdown of the organizations involved, categorizing them into student unions and youth groups, communist and revolutionary socialist organizations, Muslim student and pro-Palestine groups, labor unions, human rights organizations, and international amplifiers.
Within the student and youth category, groups like the Communist Youth of Greece and La Jeunesse Communists have publicly supported the French students, linking their demands to opposition to military spending. Other student organizations, including AFGES (The Students of Alsace) and the Fédération des associations générales étudiantes (FAGE), have been active in mobilizing and organizing protests.
Several communist, Marxist, Trotskyist, and revolutionary socialist organizations are also identified. These include the French Communist Party (PCF), which saw its leader publicly support demonstrators, and La France insoumise (LFI), whose lawmakers have shown solidarity with student protesters. The World Socialist Web Site and Révolution Permanente are noted for their coverage and analysis of the school blockades and broader movement.
The network extends to Muslim student associations like Étudiants Musulmans de France (EMF) and Palestine-solidarity groups such as Urgence Palestine and the French Jewish Union for Peace (UJFP), whose members have participated in or voiced support for the protests.
A significant number of labor unions and teachers' federations are also linked to the mobilizations. Major confederations like the Confédération générale du travail (CGT) and the Fédération syndicale unitaire (FSU) have supported the student movement and participated in broader cost-of-living protests.
Additionally, human rights and environmental organizations, including Amnesty International France, Extinction Rebellion, and Les Soulèvements de la Terre, have been involved. The investigation also points to the revival of the Yellow Vest movement and its participation in the October 17 demonstrations.
International amplifiers like BreakThrough News and the France-based Indian Alliance Paris, both associated with the Singham network, have played a role in disseminating information about the French protests globally. Looking ahead, an international coalition of 28 communist and socialist youth organizations is planning a coordinated strike across Europe on November 20 under the slogan “Fight for Our Future, Not Their Wars!” with endorsements from groups like the International Socialist Alternative and Stop the War Coalition in the UK.
