Glasnow on Snell-Skubal Relationship: "Love at First Sight"

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Tyler Glasnow has described the burgeoning relationship between teammates Blake Snell and Tarik Skubal as "love at first sight." Skubal, who joined the Dodgers two months ago, has quickly formed a close connection with Snell.

Glasnow, also a teammate of the duo, appeared on "Dodgers Territory" and commented on their dynamic. "They're two good personalities. They're both really funny," Glasnow said. "And I think they're both just competitors, and they learn from each other." He added that they have the foundation for "a nice blossoming friendship."

The bond between Skubal and Snell gained public attention after Skubal posted an AI-generated video of the two performing the song "Hotel Lobby." The video featured Snell singing while Skubal danced alongside him.

"Everybody knows how good of a teammate Skubal is and how much he cares about his teammates, and Blake is the same way," Glasnow remarked. "It's just been a nice melding of minds, I guess."

The "Hotel Lobby" video has since become a popular internet meme, with fans using it on platforms like TikTok to highlight favorite professional athlete pairings. The duo is now shifting their focus to the upcoming NLDS, with the first game scheduled for Saturday. Yoshinobu Yamamoto is slated to start Game 1, followed by Skubal in Game 2 and Snell in Game 3.

Snell has been working to stay healthy after missing a significant portion of the season due to elbow issues. Skubal, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this winter, is aiming to win his first World Series title. Since his trade to the Dodgers at the MLB deadline, Skubal has performed well, recording a 5-2 record with a 2.61 ERA, 70 strikeouts, and a 1.9 WAR in 10 starts.
