Gladiators star Giant, whose real name is Jamie Bigg, has confirmed his separation from his OnlyFans model girlfriend, Taylor Ryan. The 40-year-old revealed in an Instagram video that the past year has been the most stressful of his life, contributing to his confusion about his identity.
Bigg stated that he wanted to "set the record straight" following previous speculation. He attributed his current state to turning 40, receiving an ADHD diagnosis, stepping away from his wife and family, and discontinuing testosterone use from January to May. He described this period as overwhelming and acknowledged that his personal struggles impacted his professional life.
"I'm not in a relationship anymore, I'm working on myself," Bigg said, emphasizing that his focus is on personal growth. "The most important person right now to serve the people that I love is working on me. What's inside here [head], and inside here [heart]. Working out who it is I want to be, which direction I want to go in."
Bigg previously claimed he was removed from the BBC show "Gladiators" after informing producers about his relationship with Ryan, an adult content creator. He stated that he was told he would not be continuing on the show shortly after disclosing his plans to go public with the relationship. In a statement released in April, Bigg said he had made it clear his partner was an OnlyFans creator, and after that, he was informed of his exit from "Gladiators."
He also claimed that during discussions about his dismissal, "child safeguarding" was cited as a reason, with producer Dan Baldwin reportedly branding Ryan's career a "child safeguarding risk." However, Bigg asserted that parents and young fans of the show have expressed their support and disappointment over his departure.
Bigg noted that his contracts did not include clauses about personal relationships. He also mentioned receiving messages from parents who were upset by his exit and felt it was unfair. He described the fan reaction as "disgust" at the perceived unfairness.
Bigg, who was formerly the world's tallest professional bodybuilder, has two children with his ex-wife Katie. He stated that his demanding bodybuilding career and filming "Gladiators" had previously put a strain on his marriage, and he had intended for the show to allow him to be a better husband and father.
