Gladiators star Giant, whose real name is Jamie Bigg, has confirmed his split from his OnlyFans model girlfriend, Taylor Ryan. The 40-year-old attributed the breakup to personal confusion about his identity after turning 40 and experiencing what he described as "the most stressful year of my life."
Bigg shared a video on Instagram to address speculation, stating his desire to "set the record straight." He explained that turning 40, coupled with an ADHD diagnosis, led to significant life changes, including walking away from his wife, family, and his role on the BBC show.
He also mentioned coming off testosterone from January to May, which further impacted his well-being. "Battling with all those things and then coming off that and trashing my own hormones was not going to end well," he stated.
Bigg clarified that he is no longer in a relationship and is focusing on personal growth. "The most important person right now to serve the people that I love is working on me," he said, emphasizing the need to understand himself better and determine his future direction.
He expressed regret for upsetting people and burning bridges, acknowledging a need for accountability. "I've got a lot of people to apologise to. I've got a lot of things to be accountable for," Bigg added.
It was previously reported that Bigg was removed from the Gladiators cast after disclosing his relationship with Ryan. He claimed the broadcaster disapproved of his partner's career as an adult content creator. In a statement released in April, Bigg said he informed bosses about his plans to go public with the relationship, including Ryan's OnlyFans career, and was subsequently told he would not be returning for the upcoming fourth series.
Bigg stated that he believed being a role model involves honesty and professionalism, including not hiding aspects of his life or the people he cares about. He expressed pride in standing by his partner.
Reports suggested the couple was devastated by the decision, which came at a difficult time as they were discussing starting a family. Bigg also claimed that during discussions about his exit, "child safeguarding" was cited as a reason for the decision, a claim he contested, citing support from parents of young viewers.
Bigg, formerly the world's tallest professional bodybuilder, also reflected on how his demanding career in bodybuilding and filming Gladiators had previously strained his marriage. He shared that he had promised his family he would focus on them after his bodybuilding career concluded, with his role on Gladiators presenting an opportunity to be a better husband and father.
