Gizzi Erskine Celebrates "Sleazy and Messy" Hen Do Ahead of Wedding to Matt Turner

TV chef Gizzi Erskine recently celebrated her upcoming marriage to punk rock musician Matt Turner with a "sleazy and messy" hen do. The event, held at Otto's in London, included close friends and celebrity guests.

Erskine, 47, is set to marry Turner, 40, frontman of the band Luxury Apartments, after he proposed in February. For her pre-wedding celebration, Erskine wore a bridal veil paired with an off-the-shoulder top and PVC trousers. Guests, including rapper Professor Green, actor Sydney Lima, and socialite Martha Sitwell, joined the festivities, some wearing masks featuring Erskine's face.

Despite the elegant setting, Erskine described the lunch as "very messy." She expressed her gratitude to the party organizers and the restaurant, noting it was a joyous occasion with her closest friends.

Erskine announced her engagement to Turner in February, sharing the news on Instagram with a photo showcasing her wedding ring. She described Turner as the "love of her life" and detailed how the proposal occurred during a casual walk.

The chef's announcement was met with congratulations from fellow celebrities and fans. Erskine's past relationships include a multi-year engagement to Jamie Reynolds of The Klaxons, which ended in 2016. She was also linked to Professor Green around the same period, maintaining a friendship.

Erskine, an author of several cookbooks and daughter of the 2nd Baron Erskine of Rerrick, splits her time between London and Brighton, where her fiancé resides. She and Turner met online over three years ago and live together in East London with their cats. Erskine has spoken positively about her current relationship, stating she is mentally the happiest she has ever been.
