Giuliana Rancic celebrated her 19th wedding anniversary with husband Bill Rancic on Tuesday, marking nearly two decades of marriage.
Giuliana shared a series of photos on Instagram featuring her and Bill, highlighting their continued affection. She captioned the post, “19 years…and we still can’t keep our hands to ourselves,” noting that their relationship began on September 1, 2007.
The images depict the couple in a vineyard setting, with Giuliana, 52, embracing Bill, 55. One photo shows her cradling his face and kissing his cheek.
The couple, who share a 14-year-old son, Duke, welcomed via surrogate in 2012, celebrated their anniversary following recent public discussions about Giuliana's past relationship with actor Jerry O'Connell.
Giuliana had described her past relationship with O'Connell as "traumatizing" during an episode of the "Bill and Giuliana" podcast. She accused the actor of being "cold" and "downplaying" their romance, which occurred 22 years ago. These comments followed O'Connell's own remarks on Kelly Ripa's podcast, "Let's Talk Off Camera," where he acknowledged being a "terrible boyfriend" and discussed their breakup.
O'Connell had recounted the 2004 split on Ripa's show, with Giuliana referencing her 2015 memoir "Going Off Script" where she detailed O'Connell ending their relationship via his condo's intercom. O'Connell had suggested to Ripa that Rancic had arrived unannounced, implying the relationship was not serious.
Giuliana contested this portrayal on the podcast, stating that she and O'Connell were together "24/7 every day, every night" for a year and a half, except for one breakup. She characterized their relationship as "real."
She further elaborated on the breakup, claiming she had not heard from O'Connell for five days prior to their confrontation. She recalled writing to him expressing concern, to which he responded he was back in Los Angeles. Upon arriving at his condo, she stated the argument ensued, with O'Connell speaking to her from his balcony.
Giuliana described the experience as "devastating, heartbreaking, humiliating," and "traumatizing," stating her disbelief at the situation. She noted that both individuals have since moved on, with both she and O'Connell married since 2007.
Rancic's memoir also touched on allegations of O'Connell's infidelity, which she stated she had forgiven him for at the time. Despite O'Connell's acknowledgment of being a "bad boyfriend" and offering an apology, Giuliana expressed her belief that everything happens for a reason and that they are both in the right places in their lives.
