A Brisbane mother has issued a warning to consumers after her young daughter found a large piece of glass in a loaf of bread. The 7-year-old girl was reportedly eating a toasted sandwich with her siblings when she discovered the shard.
The bread, a Tip Top 'The One' loaf, was purchased from a Woolworths store in Moorooka, Brisbane. The product had a best before date of August 19.
The mother has contacted Woolworths regarding the incident, and an investigation has been launched. Woolworths has stated that it has not yet received reports of similar occurrences. The supermarket has been contacted for further comment.
