A 6-year-old girl was injured when a brick fell from a building and struck her as she walked with her mother in Queens, New York. The incident occurred Thursday evening around 7:35 p.m. on 59th Street near Maspeth Avenue in Maspeth.
Authorities reported that the girl suffered a broken femur and a cut on her head. She was conscious and alert when transported to Bellevue Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.
Police stated that no criminality is suspected in connection with the accident. The brick fell from a building onto the sidewalk where the child was walking.
