Wide receiver Malik Nabers briefly left the game with a shoulder issue, and later in the contest, offensive tackle Andrew Thomas was evaluated in the medical tent. Defensive player Brian Burns also required assistance to leave the field late in the game.
The Giants' offense struggled to find the end zone, with their only points coming from two field goals by Dominic Zvada in the second and third quarters.
The Rams established their lead early when Matthew Stafford connected with Davante Adams for a 31-yard touchdown pass in the closing seconds of the first quarter. Adams further extended the Rams' advantage in the third quarter with an 11-yard touchdown reception, bringing the score to 21-3.
The Giants will return to MetLife Stadium for Week 3 to host the Tennessee Titans as they aim to improve their standing.
