New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh downplayed concerns over rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers, who unexpectedly departed practice during the final drill on Wednesday.
Nabers was seen walking into the facility alongside return-to-play coordinator Allie Boudreau. However, Harbaugh indicated he had not been informed of any serious injury. "he would have heard after practice if there was an injury," Harbaugh stated.
Elsewhere in practice, wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins, a notable performer during the team's 2022 playoff run, made an off-balance, one-handed catch on the sideline and successfully got his feet down. He also caught a two-point conversion pass. Darnell Mooney and Odell Beckham Jr. were also actively involved, with Beckham scoring a touchdown on a route similar to one he dropped against the Dolphins previously.
Quarterback Jaxson Dart's hard count drew two false starts during a move-the-ball period, which the team seemed to find counterproductive. The team also witnessed a field goal competition between Dominic Zvada and Ben Sauls, with attempts reaching 69 yards, matching an NFL preseason record and exceeding the regular-season record. Neither kicker made the longest attempts, but both successfully kicked field goals over 60 yards.
Defensive tackle Shelby Harris worked separately with a trainer during team drills, and Theo Johnson (shoulder) joined practice late, observing from the sideline. Offensive linemen RG Sisi Mauigoa and RT Jermaine Eluemunor returned to full participation in practice.
