The New York Giants have added defensive line depth by acquiring C.J. Okoye from the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for a 2028 seventh-round draft pick. The transaction marks a reunion between Okoye and Giants head coach John Harbaugh, who previously coached Okoye with the Ravens.

This move follows the Giants' earlier trade of offensive guard Josh Ezeudu to the Kansas City Chiefs for a similar 2028 seventh-round selection. Okoye entered the NFL via the International Player Pathway Program and appeared in 13 games for the Ravens last season, recording 15 tackles, one quarterback hit, and one pass deflection.

The Giants are understood to still be seeking additional defensive tackle reinforcements. The team's current options at the position behind starters D.J. Reader and Shelby Harris include Chauncey Golston, who can play both inside and outside, and 2025 third-round pick Darius Alexander, who reportedly had a disappointing summer.
