Getafe Makes Formal Offer for Former Manchester United Winger Jadon Sancho
The Spanish club has submitted a bid for the free agent attacker who is seeking a new team after leaving Manchester United.
Getafe has formally offered a contract to sign free agent attacker Jadon Sancho, who is exploring options after his deal with Manchester United expired in the summer. The Spanish club, currently 14th in La Liga and competing in the Europa Conference League, is aiming to finalize a move for the 26-year-old winger.
Sancho, who cost Manchester United £73 million when he transferred from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, is reportedly open to all possibilities but favors a move outside of England. He spent the previous season on loan at Aston Villa, where he made 39 appearances as the team qualified for the Champions League and achieved Europa League success. Sancho also had loan spells with Dortmund and Chelsea during his five years at Manchester United. His time at Chelsea involved an obligation to buy, but the London club paid a £5 million penalty to return him to Old Trafford after he made 41 appearances.
Sancho has been sharing training videos on his Instagram account as he searches for a new club. Earlier this week, former Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal, who was also a free agent, signed with Getafe on a contract through June 2027.
