Georgia Toffolo, a 31-year-old former star of "Made in Chelsea," has revealed the emotional difficulties she and her husband, James Watt, 44, have faced while trying to conceive for almost a year.
Toffolo, who married Watt in March of the previous year, has been open with her followers about their fertility journey. She shared that she anticipated being pregnant by now and finds the experience challenging because she considers herself an "overachiever" and is in good health.
"I found the first five months so much harder trying to conceive because I was like, 'oh my god, like I'm not pregnant. It's going on and on,'" Toffolo said. "But now I'm actually quite used to it, which makes things easier."
She described the emotional cycle of monthly anticipation and disappointment, noting that while she feels sad when a pregnancy test is negative, she recovers within a few hours. Toffolo shared her belief that a special baby is coming and that this journey has taught her patience and the importance of not controlling outcomes.
In April, Toffolo first disclosed that she and her husband had been trying for a baby for five months. She admitted at the time that she had been hiding the situation and found it difficult to navigate the "two-week wait" period before knowing if she was pregnant, experiencing symptoms that could indicate either pregnancy or an impending period. She described this phase as "quite lonely."
Initially, Toffolo took pregnancy tests alone, but she shared that her husband encouraged them to do it together, a shift that she found significantly helpful. "We are doing this together. That shift for me has been so amazing, I can actually cry at the relief," she stated.
Toffolo emphasized that they are not struggling with infertility but are in an "in-between stage" and feel fortunate. She expressed a desire to hear from others who have had similar experiences that ended with a positive outcome.
