Georgia Toffolo, 31, shared a humorous exchange with her husband, BrewDog founder James Watt, 44, on TikTok, where he playfully teased her about their joint bank account and their ongoing efforts to start a family. The couple, who tied the knot last year, were traveling to Lake Como when they filmed the social media trend.
In the video, Watt quipped, "Boarding all passengers who still call it a joint bank account despite having never put a penny in it," to which Toffolo admitted, "That's so true!" The entrepreneur, whose net worth is estimated to be between £250 million and £450 million, also touched upon their widely-discussed fertility journey. He joked, "Boarding all passengers whose recent social media posts about fertility now means everyone thinks their husband is firing blanks. The sperms were tested. They were very good."
Toffolo has been open about their struggle to conceive, sharing in a previous video that they were entering their eighth month of trying. She explained that discussing their fertility issues publicly had been a liberating experience, helping to alleviate feelings of shame and embarrassment. She noted the supportive messages she received from others going through similar challenges.
"Saying it out loud changed everything," Toffolo stated in a previous social media update. "I was carrying so much shame and embarrassment, hiding it from everyone I love. So, this is just me carrying on the conversation, which helped so much."
The TikTok video also included lighthearted jabs about other aspects of their relationship, including Toffolo's desire for a second wedding because she did not like her wedding dress, and a more personal joke from Watt about her bathroom habits.
The couple's trip to Lake Como also featured videos of them enjoying boat rides and Toffolo jumping into the lake.
