Georgia Man Accused of Faking 911 Call to Avoid Paying Red Lobster Bill

A 26-year-old man is accused of attempting to evade a $63 restaurant bill by falsely reporting a medical emergency to 911. The incident occurred on September 24 at a Red Lobster in Douglasville, Georgia.

According to authorities, Abdul Rasheed called 911, and when emergency responders arrived, they found him to be in good health but unwilling to pay for his meal. Instead of receiving medical assistance, Rasheed was taken into custody by Douglasville police. He was subsequently charged with theft of services, unlawful conduct during a 911 call, and making a false report. He was booked into the Douglas County Jail.Exterior of a Red Lobster restaurant showing the building's stone facade and restaurant sign.
