San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and his wife, Claire, were delayed in their travel to New York City for the upcoming wedding of pop star Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce. The couple was photographed at a Nashville airport on Wednesday evening, awaiting their flight.

Their journey experienced significant delays, with a 5:30 p.m. departure pushed to 8 a.m. the following morning. Claire Kittle shared updates about the travel issues on her Instagram story. Despite the setbacks, Kittle was seen with a suit bag, indicating his readiness for the event.

Kittle, who co-founded Tight End University with Kelce, is among the guests invited to the ceremony. He previously mentioned to Entertainment Tonight that he planned to wear a blue suit. Kittle and Kelce, despite their on-field rivalry between the 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs, maintain a friendship off the field. Kittle was a guest on Kelce's podcast, "New Heights," on Wednesday.

Swift publicly acknowledged Kittle during a recent performance, dedicating her song "Love Story" to him at the request of the NFL player. Swift stated, "This was a very special request from a very special tight end. He wanted to hear this particular song and that tight end … is named George Kittle."

Kittle made light of the proximity of the wedding to their Tight End University event, commenting on Kelce's "great energy and love for the boys."

Reports indicate that Swift and Kelce have a "no gifts" policy for their wedding guests. Kittle mentioned that he was considering gifting Kelce an old coin, noting Kelce's interest in such items.

The wedding ceremony is scheduled for July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, with an estimated 1,000 guests expected. A smaller rehearsal dinner for approximately 100 close friends and family was planned for July 2 at the Infosys Theater within MSG.
