George Clooney Devastated by Death of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber's Son, Presley

George Clooney is "completely shattered" by the death of Presley Gerber, the son of his close friends Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, a source exclusively told Page Six. Clooney and his wife, Amal, visited Crawford and Gerber at their daughter Kaia's home two days after Presley died at the age of 27.

A source close to the family stated that the Clooneys' presence was less about talking and more about "listening, comforting Cindy and Rande and being there for them." The insider added, "There really aren’t any words that can make something like this better. They just wanted to be there for their friends and let them talk about whatever they needed to."

The Clooneys have also sent meals to the family and are offering support as Crawford, 60, and Gerber, 64, mourn their only son. "George and Amal are absolutely beside themselves with grief," the source said. "George is completely shattered by Presley’s death. He’s known him his entire life, and he’s completely shattered by Presley’s death. He always saw Cindy and Rande as having this beautiful family, and he can’t begin to imagine what they’re going through right now."

George Clooney and Rande Gerber's friendship dates back to the 1990s. Their bond deepened when they, along with Mike Meldman, co-founded Casamigos tequila in 2013. Clooney was reportedly known as "Uncle George" to Presley and his sister, Kaia.

According to reports, Clooney maintained a close relationship with Presley and offered him advice as he struggled with addiction. The actor reportedly sent encouraging notes, reminding Presley that he was there for him during difficult times.

Presley Gerber died on Sunday at the Resolutions Living facility in Santa Monica, where he was undergoing treatment. He was found unresponsive following a suspected overdose. Emergency responders attempted lifesaving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. His official cause and manner of death are still under investigation.

Crawford and Gerber had remained devoted to their son throughout his struggles with addiction and mental health. "There was always concern around Presley," a source close to the family told Page Six previously. "Cindy and Rande loved him tremendously, and they worried about him. They wanted him to be healthy and get to a good place."

Flowers have begun to arrive at the family's home in the wake of the tragedy. Presley is survived by his parents and his younger sister, Kaia.
