Antonio Gibson, an employee at Slim Chickens in Georgia, received an unexpected gift from his boss and colleagues: a custom Hummer SUV. The gesture was a reward for Gibson's dedication and positive work ethic.
Justin Kelly, the owner of the Slim Chickens location, praised Gibson as a "team player" who "finishes the job 100% of the way even when no one is looking." Kelly noted that the decision to gift Gibson the vehicle was a collective one among the staff.
"After talking with the crew last night, we couldn’t figure out a reason why not to do something good for him," Kelly stated on Facebook. "If you CAN do something good, you SHOULD do something good."
Gibson had been searching for an affordable used car. Instead, he was presented with the keys and title to a Hummer customized with Slim Chickens branding. Video footage shared on Kelly's Facebook page shows Gibson reacting with disbelief and joy.
According to Kelly, Gibson demonstrated his commitment from the beginning. Early in his tenure, Gibson used a portion of his first paycheck to purchase food and drinks for his coworkers, showcasing his generosity and team-oriented spirit despite initial workplace mistakes.
