Gemma Collins' Female Stalker Arrested After 'Menacing' Letters

A woman in her 30s has been arrested and bailed by Essex Police in connection with a stalking investigation targeting reality television star Gemma Collins. The suspect was apprehended on suspicion of sending "menacing and abusive" letters to the former TOWIE personality.

Collins, 45, first reported being targeted by a stalker last year, an ordeal that included receiving rat poison. She has described the ongoing harassment as "playing havoc on her mind" and expressed fears for her safety.

According to The Sun, the woman arrested has since been interviewed and released on bail pending further investigation until November. Essex Police confirmed in June 2025 that they had opened an investigation into reports of stalking and harassment in the Chelmsford area.

Sources close to Collins have indicated the situation has been "horrendous" and left her "terrified in her own home." The investigation has involved police obtaining the suspect's DNA.

Collins has previously detailed the impact of the stalking on her mental well-being and security measures. In a Sky documentary and on social media, she revealed that the stalker had falsely claimed to have attended her mother Joan's funeral. Collins also stated that she received parcels containing excrement and menacing letters, prompting her to install panic buttons in her home and increase personal security.

During an appearance on the "Everything I Know About Me" podcast, Collins recounted an incident where she received a letter from someone claiming to be wearing white gloves and expressing a desire to harm her. The cumulative effect of these incidents led her to step back from front-of-house duties at her boutique.
