Gemma Collins and Rami Hawash Enjoy Italian Getaway Amidst Personal Struggles

Gemma Collins, a reality television personality, has shared images of a romantic getaway to Italy with her fiancé, Rami Hawash. The couple, who have openly discussed significant personal challenges, including Hawash's past issues with alcohol, appeared to be enjoying a boat trip.

Collins, 45, posted a photo of herself in a plunging swimsuit alongside a shirtless Hawash, 51, who was wearing matching swimming shorts. She captioned the image on Instagram, "Always Italy or me ❤️ and my amour @rami_hawash."

The couple's journey has been documented on their Sky reality show, "Everything. All At Once." During the show, both Collins and Hawash spoke about reaching a breaking point in their relationship due to his drinking problem. Hawash, a mechanic and owner of an automotive repair workshop, had been dealing with personal grief following his father's death and the difficult situation of his mother living in war-torn Israel.

Further emotional challenges for the couple included Collins's fertility issues, which were depicted during visits to the Portland Hospital. The period was compounded by the death of Collins's mother, Joan, in July from pneumonia after a prolonged illness.

In a previous interview with the Daily Mail last month, Hawash acknowledged the extent of his alcohol struggles. "I drink, I’ve got a drink problem and I don’t want to hide it," he stated. "I’ve got a problem and life is not that great."

Collins had previously expressed the strain his dependency placed on their relationship, noting on their reality show, "You can see how under pressure I am in this show. You can see I’m unwell. Life just got progressively worse."

She also commented on her late mother's perception of Hawash, saying, "My mum liked Rami. She felt sorry that he’d let the drink control him in the way that it does. Rami’s not a bad person. Rami is an awful person on alcohol."

Collins emphasized the difference between Hawash when sober and when under the influence of alcohol. "Rami without the drink is an amazing person. He’s a great, great partner. Rami with the drink has come to a point I can’t cope with it anymore and I can’t deal with it, as you can see in the show."

However, Collins indicated that their relationship had progressed beyond the crisis depicted in the show. "Where we were then is not where we are now," she said. "Rami’s still on his journey. He’s started to take the tablet to stop drinking. It's his journey that he needs to go on and we’ll support him on that."

She added her hope for their future, stating, "Things can turn around. I really hope this for Rami, I hope it for myself and, yeah, who knows what’s going to happen next."

Collins praised Hawash for his bravery in discussing his issues publicly, expressing a desire for him to return to his former self. "He has been brave sharing it with everyone and let’s hope Rami goes back to the Rami we all love. But this is Rami’s choice. You can’t force someone to get well, they have to want it from within."
