Gayle King Stays in Touch With Andy Cohen for 'Real Housewives' Intel

Gayle King maintains a close connection with Bravo executive Andy Cohen, often reaching out to him for insider details about "The Real Housewives" franchise. King, a co-host of "CBS Mornings," shared in an exclusive interview that their friendship allows her to get the latest gossip directly from Cohen.

"It’s not unusual for me to text him and say, ‘What do you think of fill in the blank?'" King told Page Six at the 2026 PAC NYC Icon of Culture Gala. She described Cohen as a "very close" friend.

Despite her access to Cohen, King remained circumspect when asked about her favorite "Real Housewives" cast member or franchise. "It would be hard to pick a favorite," she stated, noting that she watches select shows and that Cohen is aware of her viewership.

Cohen himself recently shared that the "Real Housewives of New York" and "Real Housewives of Atlanta" franchises hold a special place in his heart. King attended the gala, which honored former Disney CEO Bob Iger, alongside other notable figures including Diane von Furstenberg, Nick Jonas, Robin Roberts, and Michael Bloomberg.

King also reflected on her demanding professional life, describing herself as someone who "can never turn off" due to constant work and preparation. She expressed genuine enjoyment for her career, stating, "I really love what I do, and when you love what you do, you don’t bitch and moan about it; you figure out how to make it work."

While acknowledging the financial benefits of her career, King emphasized that compensation is not her primary motivation. "Well, yeah, that helps, but that’s the least of my concerns right now," she said. "I want to be able to do a good job and like the job that I do. It’s always nice to be paid."
