California Gov. Gavin Newsom and his wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, have listed their Fair Oaks home for $7.5 million, more than double the $3.7 million they paid for the estate in 2018. The 12,000-square-foot residence in a Northern California gated community sits on 8 acres and features a 5,000-bottle wine cellar, a resort-style pool, and a private casita.

The secluded property at 7640 Tobia Way includes a full-size tennis court and expansive grounds with sweeping views from its bluff location near the American River. The primary bathroom is described in the listing as a "destination unto itself" with a spa-like experience that extends to an outdoor pool, cold plunge, and hot tub.

The Newsoms purchased the Fair Oaks home in 2018 through an LLC tied to Jeremy Scherer, Newsom's cousin and an employee of his PlumpJack hospitality firm. The couple recently purchased a $9 million home in Marin County in 2024. According to tax returns released last month, the Newsoms earned between $1.7 million and $2 million annually between 2022 and 2024, primarily from the governor's wine businesses, his government salary, and his wife's nonprofit income.

The listing comes amid ongoing scrutiny of the couple's finances. Newsom has stated that federal law enforcement is investigating his family and associates, which he has characterized as a political maneuver. Reports suggest these probes may involve Siebel Newsom's taxes and other matters concerning the governor, who is nearing the end of his gubernatorial term and is widely expected to consider a presidential run in 2028.
