Gary Barlow, 55, was seen out in London on Monday, enjoying a meal with a friend shortly after discussing the physical difficulties he experienced during Take That's recent "Circus" tour.
The singer was photographed heading to Dorian restaurant in Notting Hill, accompanied by wine expert and social media personality Tom Gilbey. Barlow opted for a casual ensemble, including a black jumper, tracksuit bottoms, and a baseball cap, as the pair shared a glass of wine.
Earlier this summer, Barlow had revealed that he was "finally out of the tour bubble" following a family holiday to Mexico. He had previously spoken about the demanding nature of the "Circus" tour, which concluded in July, and admitted he "could 'never physically do the shows again'."
Following the tour's final performance in Dublin in July, Barlow shared an emotional statement on X, formerly Twitter. He stated that age-related challenges would prevent him from undertaking a similar tour in the future. "I was 38 when we originally did this show, and I have to say it's been a whole other challenge doing it as a 55-year-old," he wrote. "I just can't see a way I could physically do this show again."
Despite these challenges, Barlow also described the "Circus" tour, which he performed with bandmates Howard Donald and Mark Owen, as their "best ever." He expressed gratitude for the experience, noting, "It's with an extremely heavy heart that I leave The Circus in my past. I got to run away with The Circus twice."
Barlow had prepared extensively for the tour, which began in May. In December, he shared on Instagram that he had been at the luxury wellness clinic Lanserhof at The Arts Club. Annual memberships for the clinic start at £6,500, with an additional £1,500 joining fee.
After his holiday, Barlow posted on Instagram to announce he was refreshed and ready to work on the band's new album. He stated, "Content for content's sake is rubbish. I'm fully out of the tour bubble now and back on the road to getting this new Take That album finished and delivered."
He also hinted at future plans for the band's European fans, saying, "We've got big things coming your way that we're all incredibly excited about." Barlow added that he was continuing to stay active and fit post-tour and was enjoying the downtime with his family. "It's also nice to have some downtime with the family. We finally took a holiday and had the best time @oneandonlypalmilla what a spot," he wrote.
