Gareth Gates Celebrates Daughter Missy's Driving Test Success

Gareth Gates took to social media on Thursday to share his pride in his daughter, Missy, who has successfully passed her driving test. The 42-year-old singer posted a celebratory message praising his 17-year-old daughter.

"My beautiful (not so little) princess passed her driving test today. Well done @missygates_x Daddy is super proud of you," Gates wrote, expressing his astonishment at how quickly his daughter has reached this milestone. He also shared a photo of Missy posing with her certificate.

Gates, who rose to fame as the runner-up on the first series of Pop Idol in 2002, has largely kept his personal life private. He split from Missy's mother, Suzanne Mole, in 2012 after a four-year marriage. At the time, a statement indicated that while they had grown apart, they remained committed to prioritizing Missy's upbringing.

Away from personal milestones, Gates is currently touring the country with his musical roadshow, "Boyband In The Buff." The show is described as a celebration of 1990s and 2000s pop classics, featuring music from groups like Take That, NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, and Blue.

Earlier this year, Gates's ex-partner Katie Price commented on their past connection, reflecting on an encounter from 24 years prior when she was six months pregnant and he was 17. Gates has previously stated that he was inexperienced at the time and was shocked by the public attention their interaction received, which overshadowed his music career. He noted that the experience made him wary of trusting people in the industry.
