The couple became engaged in July 2023. Their anniversary celebrations come shortly after Molly-Mae Hague revealed she had stopped breastfeeding their son Midas after three weeks. She explained in a YouTube vlog that she decided to stop to ensure she could "leave on a high" and remember the experience positively. She stated that while breastfeeding is not always enjoyable, she was happy with the time she spent doing it and that Midas was still receiving her milk via bottle, supplemented with formula.
