Fujifilm Signs Major Retail Lease in Soho

Fujifilm has signed a lease for 12,700 square feet across three levels at 210 Lafayette Street in Soho, a deal that underscores the area's persistent retail leasing activity. The space, located in a Comjen Associates-owned property, features 68 feet of sidewalk windows and has been largely vacant since the custom upholstery brand Mitchell Gold – Bob Williams departed in 2023, aside from temporary pop-up engagements.

The lease was facilitated by Cushman & Wakefield’s Andrew Kahn and Matt Weinreb, who represented both parties in the transaction. This agreement follows a trend of strong retail performance in Soho. According to Cushman & Wakefield data, the neighborhood's asking rents in the third quarter saw a 4.1% increase compared to the previous year and a significant 47% rise over the last five years.

Earlier in October, another substantial retail deal was finalized when the South Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster secured over 29,000 square feet within a portion of the former REI space at Kushner Companies’ Puck Building. These transactions highlight ongoing demand for prime retail locations in Soho.
