A Frito-Lay employee was killed inside a Nashville Sam's Club when a stray bullet from a fight outside a nearby lounge penetrated the store's exterior wall. The victim, identified as 55-year-old Paris Carlock of Murfreesboro, was conducting an early morning product inventory shortly after 4 a.m. on Tuesday when he was struck in the head.

Sam's Club staff rendered aid to Carlock, who was transported to a local hospital. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.

Investigators believe the gunfire originated from an argument that started inside Lavo Lounge on Antioch Pike, a short distance from the Sam's Club. According to police, security removed individuals involved from the lounge, but the dispute continued outside, leading to gunshots as multiple vehicles departed the scene.
