Friends Remember Daughter Killed by Father in NJ Murder-Suicide
Tributes pour in for Sloane Grodnick, 24, who was fatally shot by her father alongside her mother before he took his own life.
Friends of Sloane Grodnick, 24, have established a GoFundMe to memorialize her after she was killed by her father, David Grodnick, 61, in a murder-suicide at their Montgomery Township, New Jersey home on October 2. David Grodnick also killed his wife, Lora Grodnick, 62, before dying by suicide.
The friends described Sloane as "silly" and "funny," stating in a tribute that "she deserved so much more." They recalled spending time with her during her childhood, engaging in activities like swimming, coloring, and sharing life's moments.
Sloane Grodnick pursued her passion for art, earning a degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design and was nearing completion of her master's degree at the Rhode Island School of Design at the time of her death. The fundraising effort aims to plant a tree with a plaque in her honor at Grounds For Sculpture, a sculpture park and arboretum in Hamilton. The memorial is intended to provide a place for loved ones to remember Sloane amidst the art and gardens she admired.
