Friend Recounts Chilling Night in Jeffrey Dahmer's Apartment

A woman who identified herself as a former friend of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer has shared an account of a night spent in his apartment, detailing a strange odor and a disturbing discovery in his shower.

The woman, referred to as Meko, described Dahmer as a gentleman – soft, gentle, caring, compassionate, polite, and charismatic. She initially found this description hard to believe given his later notoriety. She recalled being in his apartment and noticing a peculiar, strange stench. The experience culminated in a chilling discovery in his shower.

Meko also noted that Dahmer constantly burned incense, which she initially thought might mask unpleasant odors. However, she also detected a combination of urine, chemicals, and mildew.

She said that when she woke up in Dahmer's apartment, there were many strange smells she couldn't identify. Meko, who was 13 when she first came to the U.S. and spoke very little English, felt that Dahmer made her feel special. She perceived him as a handsome American man who went out of his way to be kind to her.

Meko also mentioned loaning items to Dahmer, including tools like her stepdad's drill or saw. He once borrowed a rubber mallet.

Dahmer was arrested in the summer of 1991 and was subsequently sentenced to 15 life terms for his crimes.
