The intense congestion outside Taylor Swift's New York City apartment has subsided, two days after she married Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
The couple, both 36, held a wedding ceremony on Friday at Madison Square Garden. In the days leading up to the event, vehicles had lined the street near Swift's Tribeca townhouse, which is valued at $50 million. By Sunday, the activity had settled, and the street returned to its typical rhythm as the Independence Day weekend concluded.
Swift has been an owner of property in New York City since 2014. She initially purchased two adjacent penthouses on Franklin Street for $19.5 million, combining them into a large duplex. Her real estate holdings expanded in 2018 with the acquisition of a second-floor unit for $10 million, adding 3,450 square feet. She also purchased a neighboring townhouse for $18 million, which includes a home cinema, gym, seven bedrooms, and a separate apartment for her security team.
Amid the wedding news, it is suggested that the newlyweds may have spent the Fourth of July holiday at Swift's Rhode Island mansion. An eyewitness reported observing "activity" at the Rhode Island property on Saturday afternoon, including activity during a fireworks display in the evening. Swift's private jet was noted landing at Groton-New London Airport in Connecticut on Saturday afternoon, though it remains unconfirmed if she or Kelce were aboard.
Reports also indicate that Swift and Kelce, who began their relationship in 2023, are planning an extensive honeymoon. The itinerary is said to include travel to the Bahamas, Italy's Lake Como, Paris, the French Riviera, Croatia, a private island in Greece, Singapore, Australia, Fiji, and the Hawaiian Islands.
