Frankie Valli, the 92-year-old frontman of The Four Seasons, has publicly denied claims that he is retiring from performing. The clarification comes after his brother, Bobby Valli, shared a post on Facebook stating that Frankie was stepping away from his career. Bobby Valli has since apologized, acknowledging he was misinformed.

In a statement shared to his Instagram page, Frankie Valli stated, "In spite of what you might have heard, I am not retired." While he did not directly mention his brother, the statement appeared to address the social media post that had circulated.

Bobby Valli's initial Facebook post on Wednesday praised Frankie's "magnificent career in music" and "wonderful life," calling him "an icon" and "a living legend." He noted that Frankie had been performing for six decades and stated, "He will now retire." The post also expressed that Frankie had "reached a place in his life where his family is there to love, cherish and to be there for him."

However, by Friday, Bobby Valli issued a correction, writing, "I apologize, I was misinformed. I was under the impression my brother Frankie was retiring. Hoping for him to have a speedy recovery to continue his illustrious career!"

Frankie Valli had previously announced in May that he was canceling the remainder of his 2026 tour dates, citing health issues. At the time, he shared via Instagram, "I’m so sorry to disappoint the folks who have purchased tickets to my shows, but I have decided to take the rest of the year off from touring to focus on my health." He added, "I’m looking forward to getting healthy and seeing you all again soon. Thank you for all your good wishes."

At the time of the tour cancellation, Frankie's representative, Victoria Varela, explained to Variety that the singer needed to prioritize his health and avoid further rescheduling that could cause distress to ticket holders. His final performance was on February 22 at the Pechanga Theater in Temecula, California.

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons began their farewell tour, "The Last Encores Tour," in 2023, which was anticipated to continue until late 2026. Valli, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy in 2025, had previously addressed online speculation about his health in 2024, stating he intended to keep performing "as long as I am able."
