Frankie Muniz's Estranged Wife Shares Cryptic Message After Actor Reveals He's 'Hitting Rock Bottom'

Paige Price, the estranged wife of actor Frankie Muniz, shared a cryptic message about "perspective" on her Instagram Story just hours after Muniz posted a concerning message about his own struggles.

Price's post featured a quote stating, "Life is all about perspective. If you ask the grass, the zebra is the monster and the lion is the protector." The accompanying video was set to an acoustic version of the Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris," featuring lyrics about not wanting the world to see him because "everything’s made to be broken."

This came after Muniz, 40, took to Instagram to describe the last six weeks as a "nightmare" he was praying to wake from. "Everything [has] felt heavy, unclear, and like it [has been] falling apart at the same time. I wouldn’t wish this season on anyone," he wrote.

The "Malcolm in the Middle" star described the experience as an "unexpected gift," noting he had time for "real self-reflection" and to identify areas needing improvement to become a "better version of me." Muniz acknowledged hitting "rock bottom," referencing the idea that such a point can be a catalyst for necessary change to live a better life. He expressed belief that in five years, he would look back at this "low point" with gratitude, as the future success would only be possible because of it.

Muniz stated that this difficult period was not the end of his story but the beginning of doing "uncomfortable, unglamorous [and] necessary" work. He concluded his post with an encouraging message: "If you’re in a low place right now too, you’re not broken. You’re being rebuilt. Let’s keep going!"

Muniz and Price announced their separation in July after 10 years together. They married in February 2020 and share a 5-year-old son, Mauz.
