Frankie Muniz's estranged wife, Paige Price, has publicly defended the actor after he faced backlash for his divorce announcement. Price stated that the internet has become "so f–ked" due to the cruelty directed at Muniz.

Muniz initially posted a video of their family dancing, accompanied by a message about moving forward amicably with their divorce. The announcement, made after a period of private separation, emphasized their shared desire to remain best friends and co-parents to their 5-year-old son. Price expressed sorrow that Muniz felt compelled to delete the video due to harsh public reaction.

"Frankie, I am so sorry that you felt the need to delete an old funny video of our family because people are so cruel to you," Price wrote on Instagram, adding that "this world is so f–ked." She underscored that both she and Muniz are "two adults who know how to be on the same team" and expressed disbelief at the scrutiny.

Price later shared on her Instagram Story, "The internet is a scary place. I wish you all a kinder sea." She further commented, "Being misread does not alter the architecture of who you are. It only reveals the limits of the observer."

The initial announcement from Muniz stated, "Following a period of separation that we kept private, Paige and I have decided to move forward with ending our marriage." He explained that after ten years together, they had grown in ways that led them to realize their relationship felt most natural and strong as a deep friendship and as co-parents.

Muniz, a former child star and now a professional NASCAR driver, praised Price for her support and for putting her own dreams on hold. He emphasized their "foundation of respect and friendship isn't going anywhere" and that they were excited to continue building their business, Muniz Racing, together and co-parent their son with teamwork and love.

However, many social media users expressed confusion and criticized the dancing video, with some accusing Muniz of "celebrating breaking up his family." Conservative commentator Michael Knowles described the clip as "bizarre" and "offensive."

Muniz responded via X (formerly Twitter), clarifying that the video was not meant to celebrate their divorce, but rather to signify that they could handle the separation amicably as adults. He stated, "Everyone is just used to the hideous mudslinging a lot of couples do at the end of a relationship so they don’t know how to take it when two people are cordial."

His second divorce announcement featured a family photo with the same caption about their enduring respect and friendship. The couple became engaged in November 2018 and married in February 2020, dating for nearly three years prior.
