The "Malcolm in the Middle" alum posted the images on Saturday, depicting a moment of post-soccer family activity in Scottsdale, Arizona. In the snapshots, Muniz is in the front seat of a car with Price, while their 5-year-old son sits in the back. "Our little dude got a medal for excellence in sportsmanship!" Muniz captioned the post.
This reunion comes a day after Muniz shared a more somber reflection on Instagram, describing the preceding six weeks as a "nightmare" he was hoping to wake from. He elaborated that life had felt "heavy, unclear, and like it was falling apart at the same time," adding that he wouldn't wish such a period on anyone.
Muniz had previously discussed the importance of self-reflection during this challenging time, noting that hitting rock bottom can be a catalyst for necessary personal changes. He expressed a belief that in five years, he would look back with gratitude for the experience, recognizing that his future achievements would be built upon this difficult foundation.
"If you’re in a low place right now too, you’re not broken," he wrote in his earlier post. "You’re being rebuilt. Let’s keep going!"
The actor's candid posts prompted concern from fans, with some encouraging him to seek and accept help. Meanwhile, Price posted a cryptic message on her own Instagram, stating, "Life is all about perspective. If you ask the grass, the zebra is the monster and the lion is the protector." She also shared a video of herself engaged in a calming activity.
Muniz had announced his intention to divorce Price in July via a social media post, which he later deleted. He had described it as a "period of separation that we kept private," and stated they would continue to co-parent with "a deep friendship." The initial announcement, accompanied by a video of the family dancing, drew criticism from some netizens for its lighthearted tone, leading Price to defend Muniz and condemn the online "cruelty."
Muniz and Price eloped in October 2019 and had a wedding ceremony in February 2020.
