Frankie Muniz, known for his role in "Malcolm in the Middle," announced on Instagram that he and his wife of six years, Paige Price, have decided to end their marriage. The initial announcement was quickly deleted after drawing online criticism.

Muniz, 40, stated in the revised post that after a period of separation, he and Price have chosen to move forward with dissolving their marriage. He explained that after a decade together, they have grown in ways that have led them to realize their relationship functions best as a deep friendship and as co-parents.

"We share an incredible son who remains the centre of our world, and we’re both happier, stronger parents because of the love and growth we’ve shared," Muniz wrote. He also expressed gratitude to Price for prioritizing his pursuits and emphasized their continued foundation of respect and friendship.

The couple plans to continue co-parenting their son and collaborating professionally at Muniz Racing, the actor's stock car racing business.

Price commented on Muniz's post, expressing sorrow that he felt compelled to remove an earlier video of their family dancing. She described the backlash as "cruel" and lamented the public scrutiny of their personal decision.

"I can’t believe people could scrutinize that," Price wrote. "Divorce is bad, sure – it’s not like we’re excited about it – but we’re two adults who know how to be on the same team."

Muniz had initially shared a video of the family dancing in their living room, which some social media users deemed inappropriate for a divorce announcement. The deleted post had been accompanied by a video of the couple dancing with their young son.

Fans who saw the original post offered support, with one commenter noting the video was "so cute" and another finding it "healing to see 2 people who love each other and themselves & walking through it together."

Muniz and Price began dating in 2016, married in 2020, and welcomed their son in 2021.
