Actor Frankie Muniz has announced his separation from his wife, Paige Price, after a decade together. The "Malcolm In The Middle" star shared the news on Instagram, stating that the decision to divorce followed a private period of separation.
Muniz, 40, and Price, who married in 2020, share a five-year-old son named Mauz. According to Muniz's statement, the couple realized their relationship "feels most natural and strong as a deep friendship and as co-parents." He expressed gratitude for Price's support throughout their relationship and stated their commitment to remaining co-parents and continuing to build their venture, Muniz Racing, together.
The couple began dating in 2016 and became engaged two years later. Price announced their engagement at the time, calling Muniz "more than a dream" and expressing her anticipation of becoming his wife. They married in February 2020, and their son Mauz was born the following year.
In 2024, Muniz spoke about his desire to be more present for his family, having previously stepped away from his acting career to pursue professional car racing. He had admitted on the reality show "I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!" that he had been neglecting his family. "My current situation with my wife and son is… I'm guilty of not noticing what they do for me," he said at the time, referencing his son's sadness over his absence.
Muniz, who starred as the titular character in "Malcolm In The Middle" from 2000 to 2006, had previously put his acting career on hold to focus on racing and was briefly a drummer in the band You Hang Up. The actor noted that even during the height of his acting career, he felt like an "outcast" at award shows, separate from the industry.
The series "Malcolm In The Middle" was recently revived as a mini-series titled "Middle: Life's Still Unfair," which focused on Malcolm's parents. Muniz's representatives and Price have been contacted for comment.
