FOX One has introduced a new interactive election experience designed for the upcoming 2026 midterm elections. The platform will offer viewers real-time polling data, in-depth race analysis, and a comprehensive command center to follow election results.
Developed in partnership with FOX News Media, the initiative aims to provide users with enhanced context and local relevance as results for the midterm elections become available. According to Amit Dudakia, SVP & Head of Product at FOX Direct to Consumer, the goal is to keep coverage from Fox News and FOX Stations central while building surrounding context, eliminating the need for viewers to switch between different screens.
The features will be rolled out on FOX One in the period leading up to Election Day, with the full experience accessible once election coverage commences. The platform is designed to handle the complexity of live election events, where results may not arrive in a predictable order and viewer interest can span multiple races and local ballot measures simultaneously.
Key features debuting for the 2026 midterm elections include:
Command Center
When election coverage begins, the command center will be the primary view for users upon opening FOX One. It will feature a live stream at the center of the screen, surrounded by widgets displaying voter polling, race-by-race results, and insights from Fox News, all updated in real time.
Election Hub
This curated destination will house the full spectrum of FOX's election coverage, including video content on battleground races, significant ballot measures, and contests determining control in Washington. The content will be editorially programmed by Fox News and Fox News Digital, and will also surface coverage from FOX's local stations tailored to the viewer's market.
Ask FOX with ElectionAI
The "Ask FOX" feature, an in-app companion designed for live events, will include an Elections Mode. This mode allows viewers to submit election-specific questions and receive clear, sourced answers in real time. This functionality is powered by "ElectionAI," a new artificial intelligence platform developed in-house by FOX News Media specifically for this election cycle.
The results, polling, and insights available across all FOX One experiences are driven by a unified data layer built by FOX in conjunction with FOX News Media. This platform aggregates multiple election data sources into a single real-time feed, a system that also supports live context for FOX One's sports and news programming.
