Fox News senior White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, 37, married Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, 52, on Saturday in a ceremony at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. The event blended family traditions and political figures, with Cardinal Timothy Dolan officiating.
The couple, who met on Capitol Hill, chose New York for its significance in their lives. It was Heinrich's first assignment as a network news reporter and Fitzpatrick's first posting as an FBI agent. Both also have ancestral ties to the city, with Fitzpatrick's parents and grandparents immigrating from Ireland, and Heinrich's great-grandparents arriving from Hungary.
More than 300 guests attended the celebration, which included a reception aboard the Horizon's "Edge Yacht" in New York Harbor. This choice was a tribute to Heinrich's parents, who were married on a cruise ship. The newlyweds stated their desire was for the day to "reflect the people and traditions that have shaped our lives."
Notable guests included former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and former Sen. Joe Manchin, who delivered toasts. The reception featured a 10-piece brass band and offered guests a choice of salmon, chicken, or short ribs. An Irish tune written by Fitzpatrick's great-uncle, a former NYPD officer killed in the line of duty, was played during the cake cutting.
Heinrich wore a custom Galia Lahav gown that was adapted throughout the evening. She exchanged vows to Jeremiah Clarke's "Trumpet Voluntary in D Major." The reception's atmosphere was described as "Sinatra-era Americana, old-New York," with the couple's first dance to Frankie Valli's "Can't Take My Eyes Off You."
The couple announced their engagement last year following Fitzpatrick's proposal in Provence, France. They shared that their demanding careers have strengthened their relationship, fostering mutual understanding of commitment and purpose. They look forward to starting a family and combining households, with a honeymoon planned for the summer of 2027.
