FOX's medical dramedy, "Best Medicine," is back for its second season, picking up where the first season left off with Dr. Martin Best facing professional and personal challenges. The series, an adaptation of the UK's "Doc Martin," premiered its second season on Tuesday, September 22, at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Simultaneously, he was navigating the return of his ex, Eden (Eliza Coupe), and his developing feelings for Louisa (Abigail Spencer), who was considering having a child with her ex, Sheriff Mark (Josh Segarra). The season also saw the marriage of Greg (Stephen Spinella) and George (Jason Veasey), and the discovery of potentially valuable sea urchins by Aunt Sarah (Annie Potts).

The cast includes returning favorites such as Josh Charles as Dr. Martin Best, Abigail Spencer as Louisa Gavin, Josh Segarra as Sheriff Mark Mylow, Jason Veasey as George Brady, Stephen Spinella as Greg Garrison, Annie Potts as Aunt Sarah, and Cree as Elaine Denton.
