Four police officers in Green Bay, Wisconsin, sustained non-life-threatening injuries Saturday morning when a suspect allegedly drove a vehicle into a crowd of people.

The incident began around 2:15 a.m. local time when Green Bay Police Department officers responded to a disturbance at a food truck and were attempting to take individuals into custody. According to police, a car then drove toward bystanders and officers, prompting one officer to discharge their firearm.

The suspect fled the scene, initiating a brief police pursuit that concluded when officers employed a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle. The driver was subsequently arrested on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Green Bay Police Chief Chris Davis stated at a news conference that some of the officers' injuries occurred before the vehicle incident, during the initial attempt to take people into custody. The department is still determining if the driver has any connection to the disturbance at the food truck.

The Brown County Sheriff's Office is assisting in the investigation of the officer-involved shooting. No injuries were reported as a result of the discharge of the firearm.
